Shikhya Shurokkha: Community-led Education Promotion in Rural Bangladesh aims to ensure inclusive, equitable, and quality education for primary and secondary students, with a primary focus on reducing dropouts among marginalized female learners.
Core Objectives

    Provide need-based support, awareness, and participatory initiatives to reduce student dropouts and absenteeism, particularly among female students.
    Enhance learning motivation and outcomes through co-curricular activities in resource-limited rural schools.
    Strengthen community ownership and school accountability by forming and activating Community Education Watch Groups (CEWG).Collect evidence and
    field data to influence national policy and support expansion to other districts.

Key Activities

    Student Support: Distributing school bags, notebooks, pens, winter clothing, and menstrual hygiene kits for adolescent girls.
    Literacy & Digital Initiatives: Setting up low-cost book corners, conducting "Happy Reading Hour" sessions, and piloting digital library programs.
    Student Engagement Platforms: Establishing Child Clubs in primary schools and Kishoree Clubs in secondary schools to build skills in volunteerism, SRHR, WASH, and nutrition.
    Capacity Building: Delivering teacher training on modern pedagogical practices and mental stress management.
    Community Advocacy: Organizing local campaigns focused on child rights, preventing child marriage, promoting girls' education, and enhancing health/nutrition awareness.
