Strengthening Resilience of Livestock Farmers Through Risk Reducing Services

Livestock Risk Mitigation Program (LRMP)

 Grameen Jano Unnayan Sangstha(GJUS)  is implementing LRMP project in collaboration with Palli Karma Sohayok Foundation (PKSF) funded by Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation (SDC). The aim is to provide extension services to improve livestock rearing skills of farmers, reduce animal morbidity and mortality risk and farmers' financial risk, and continue to increase farmers' interest and capacity to invest in the livestock sector.

Objectives:

The objective of the project is to provide technical knowledge to improve the skills of farmers in animal husbandry to reduce the risk of illness and death of livestock. Encouraging farmers to invest in livestock rearing, Capacity building of various institutions involved in livestock sector development.

Covering area and benefits:

Loan facility to members is covered under this scheme, Training system, Vaccination and deworming Subsidy system in case of animal death, Medical care, Cremation and other benefits of the deceased.

This project is covered:

Model-I - The project will be implemented by the organization itself.

Model-II- The project will be implemented by the organization and DLS.

 Model-3 - The project will be implemented by the organization and various companies.

 Beneficiaries and Working Area:

All of the Lonee who takes loan and buy animals for income generation.
