Nurnabi (31), son of Alamgir, is a hardworking fish farmer from Baro Char Samaiya village in Bhola Sadar. Despite limited resources, he built his livelihood around fish farming. However, high electricity costs and reliable power supply for pond irrigation and aeration were persistent challenges. High-density farming in small ponds caused severe dissolved oxygen depletion, leading to major financial losses.Rather than giving up, Nurnabi adapted by adopting eco-friendly technology through Grameen Jano Unnayan Sangstha's (GJUS) 'Smart Fisheries' project: a solar-powered 4-wheel aerator.
